Maryse Ouellet was born on January 21, 1983, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. She was highly interested in the world of sports from her childhood. She liked swimming, mountain biking and running. She also learnt the art of ballet dancing among several other types of dance.

Maryse is also an expert in martial arts. She has mastered Kyokushin karate, judo and kickboxing.

She also took part in several beauty pageants. Maryse was crowned Miss Hawaiian Tropic Canada 2003 and finished as runner up in Miss Hawaiian Tropic International Finals 2004.

After this success, she was featured on the cover on Playboy magazine’s Special Edition Vixens in mid 2006.

She was also among the models seen on the Girls of Canada 2007 calendar.

The year 2006 saw her wresting in WWE. She earned a spot on WWE through WWE’s Diva Search.

There she appeared in several bikini challenges and behind the scenes part of OVW. Apart from this, Maryse appeared on “Friday Night SmackDown!

Through the year 2007, she appeared in WWE RAW and took part in the MISS OVW contest. She was sent to Florida Championship Wrestling. In February 2008, she appeared in Smackdown.
